Our customer is a leading provider of specialized financing and servicing programs that facilitate the manufacture, distribution and sale of consumer home products, technology products, recreational vehicles, motorsport, watercraft, and industrial equipment. With a customer focus, industry specialization and common goals, we partner with manufacturers and their distributor networks to provide smart capital that ensures product availability into the distribution chain.
As a member of the risk organization this position works closely with commercial, portfolio and operations teams to provide seamless service to customers and prospects. Key responsibilities include: underwriting new and existing business opportunities consistent with established guidelines, reviewing credit and security structures related to the sales of business or succession and actively managing a portfolio of both new and long established client relationships with regard to credit needs and CDF Canada’s business objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with Sales and Operations for financial analysis of the company’s customers across a variety of industry segments
- Performing business analysis on current and potential clients and make supported recommendations to the appropriate authority level for both new and existing clients
- Reviewing legal documentation as it pertains to various provincial security acts to ensure transactions are properly secured
- Ensuring the documentation of credit files as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures.
- Interfacing directly with accounts to resolve credit related issues. Maximizing the prudent expansion of the asset base and minimizing potential losses.
- Developing and promoting programs and practices to support internal efficiency sales and operations.
- Providing input to other functional areas in the use of capabilities to maximize ROI and credit worthiness of portfolio.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience in commercial finance lending or within the banking industry
- 3 5 years knowledge of financial statement analysis
- Minimum 5 years experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with internal stakeholders and clients which include dealers, distributors and manufacturers
- Proficiency in understanding and applying the personal property security act (PPSA) in various jurisdictions as it relates to documentation and perfected security interests
- Working knowledge in various inventory finance programs and agreements
